The new Greenon Schools K-12 Campus opened on September 7, 2021, as the new learning home for kindergarten through 12th grade students.
The building was built through a funding partnership between the district and the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, with SHP Leading Design as the project architect and Summit Construction as the construction manager at-risk. Greenon voters approved a bond issue to fund the local portion of the project in May 2017; the OFCC paid 33 percent of the costs of the project.
The 198,997-square-foot building features two new gymnasiums, state-of-the-art science labs, top-notch VoAg space, and separate entrances for parent drop-off, buses, and student drivers.
Kindergarten through 6th grade classrooms occupy Greenon Elementary, the southern wing of the building with dedicated elementary spaces for music, gym, and art. Seventh through 12th grade students are located in the northeastern Greenon Junior/Senior High wing. Shared cafeteria space is partitioned off during the school day and can be opened up to host large events after hours.
The new school is located on the northeast corner of Rebert Pike and Enon-Xenia Road, at the site of the former Indian Valley Intermediate School. A third gymnasium on the new campus was preserved from Indian Valley Intermediate, which was abated and demolished over the summer of 2021. Athletic facilities remain at 3950 South Tecumseh Road, the site of the former Greenon High School, with a shuttle bus transporting students from the school to after school athletic practices. Greenon High School will be abated and demolished.

Layout: The building has two wings - one for kindergarten through 6th grade (Greenon Elementary) and the other for 7th-12th grade (Greenon Junior/Senior High School). The two wings are connected by the central part of the building, where the office, cafeteria, gyms, art rooms, music rooms, and rotunda are located.
Courtyards: There are three courtyards. The K-6 courtyard and a primary grades playground and mini-amphitheaters with seating space for a full class. The 7-12 courtyard has an awning and outdoor learning space. And a small courtyard near the cafeteria will eventually offer outdoor student dining for secondary (7-12) grades.
Gymnasiums: The Greenon Schools K-12 Campus has three gym spaces available - the elementary gym, the high school gym, and the auxiliary gym, which was preserved from Indian Valley and refinished to integrate seamlessly into the building.
Playgrounds: There are two playgrounds. The primary (kindergarten through 1st grade) playground is in the enclosed K-6 courtyard. The upper elementary (2nd through 6th grade) playground is in the bus loop, which is closed to traffic during the school day and offers room for outdoor play on the blacktop too.
Media Centers: Library materials are available throughout the building, with books in each “pod” (grade level areas for kindergarten through 7th grade and subject areas for 8th through 12th grade).
